From the Great Chesty

"Our country wont go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won't be any AMERICA because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race!"

"Paper work will ruin any military force"

"You don't hurt'em if you don't hit 'em"

Chesty on the other forces:

When an Army captain asked him for the direction of the line of retreat, Chesty turned to his tank commander, gave him the Army position and orderd: "If they start to pull back from that line, even one foot, I want you to open fire on them" Turning back to the captain he replied "does that answer your question? We are here to fight." At Koto-ri Korea

"The mail service has been excellent out here, and in my opinion this is all that the Air Force has accomplished during the war"
In a letter to his wife while in Korea

When the Marines were cut off behind enemy lines and the Army had written the 1st Marine Division off as being lost because they were surrounded by 22 enemy divisions. The Marines made it out inflicting the highest casualty ratio on and enemy in history and destroying 7 entire enemy divisions in the process.
An enemy division is 16500+men while a Marine Division is 12500 men.

When a Journalist asked him about being surrounded by 22 enemy divisions. Chesty replied.
"They are a damn site better than the U.S. Army, at least we know they will be there in the morning"

"They are in front of us , behind us, and we are flanked on both sides by an enemy that outnumbers us 29:1. They can't get away now!"

"there are not enough chinamen in the world to stop a fully armed Marine regiment from going where ever they want to go"

The war on Property rights strikes early

Well all of you who know me know i rairly take time off to work on my own place. The coblers kids always go with out shoes kind of thing.

Well saturday i decided to stay home and work on my own place. got the posts in for my fence and left to go get some more plants. come home to see my neighbors on my door. Ive been fighting for property rights and here the battle comes to my house seems one of my neighbors dosnt like my fence or the way i landscape my yard well gess what its mine
I own .16 of an acre the smallest size you can have in logan. Im trying to get a little more ground over in idaho bear lake country. With this i wouldnt be more happyier if i was cesar with all of the roman empire
but why the hell do people think they can tell me what i can do with my own little peace of earth
well the line has been drawn and the war has started
just like are ships fired a warning shot accross the bawls of the Irainins this week. My no trespassing signs are up and to quote from the movie paint your wagons "you dont have to love your neighbor you just leave the bastard alone"
to inforce your stupid ideas to all those that think they can tell someone else what to do with there own property i ask is it worth dieing for? becouse to those of us whos rights are being infringed upon it is worth killing for. In the marines we take an oath to protect from all enemies both forign and domestic well i would consider them domestic terrorists. How are they diffrent from an islamic terrorist who wants to impose his believes on us.

KABUL, Afghanistan -- Suspected Taliban militants attacked a ceremony attended by the Afghan president on Sunday, unleashing automatic weapons fire that sent foreign dignitaries and senior members of the government fleeing for cover.

Three people, including a lawmaker, were killed and eight were wounded. President Hamid Karzai, Cabinet ministers and ambassadors escaped unharmed, the presidential palace said.

Karzai later appeared on television saying several suspects in the attack had been arrested.

He said that "the enemy of Afghanistan" tried to disrupt the ceremony but were thwarted by security forces.

A Taliban spokesman claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it had deployed six militants with suicide vests and guns to target the president. Spokesman Zabiullah Mujaheed said three had died.

A police official, who requested anonymity because of he was not authorized to speak to media, said security forces killed three gunmen who had opened fire from an apartment block not far from the ceremony and confiscated assault rifles and machine guns. Government officials could not immediately confirm that information.

Hundreds of people fled in chaos as shots rang out, just as the national anthem ended at a ceremony to mark the 16th anniversary of Afghanistan's victory over the Soviet invasion.

The gunfire appeared to come from ruined houses about few hundred yards from where the VIPs were seated. Security forces deployed elsewhere opened fire at the houses.

Karzai was escorted from scene, surrounded by bodyguards, in one of four black Landcruisers. A U.S. embassy official said U.S. Ambassador William Wood also escaped unharmed.

Along with lawmaker Fazel Rahman Samkanai, a local Shiite leader and a 10-year-old boy also died in the attack, officials said.

"President Karzai condemns this act and asks for all the people to remain calm," a statement from the presidential palace said.

Karzai, who has led Afghanistan since soon after a U.S.-led invasion ousted the Taliban regime in 2001, has been targeted by assassins before and is constantly shadowed by a phalanx of bodyguards.

Ethical ?

Ethical ?
as a consevative or not? To all of us who beleve in small government and less taxes yada yady yada
when a big government program is out there that we can beneffit from should we use it? Is that hipacridical? or unethical?
Ill make this argument as a capitalist business man, in business you use anything to get ahead. If i can use the government bonds and grants to move my business ahead. Why not? If I am a farmer why not use the subsadies? If i can qualify for medicad why not use it? or WIC, CHIP, or food stamps
To all of us who just paid are taxes. I hate paying taxes and then hearing later how goverment spend 2 Billion on a project to see how fruit flys F$^#. But the person down the street who realy needs a little help was denied her food stamps clam or medicad and now has outrages medical bills on top of all there other problems. Why cant i just give my tax money to them. Something i think alot of us would rather do. You say well charitable donations are a tax right off you could have. No charitable donations are only if you are in a certian tax bracket.
I hate when it comes down to well we got to go purchase a new truck so we don't eat it on taxes this year. Well in alot of cases I would rather do somthing else with that money but I refuse to pay taxes if i can avoid them. So i say if you can take some money back threw a goverment program use it becouse we we always spend that money better then they will. But dosn't that mean some buricrate is going to take you as a number and next years say well demand is up so we have to raise taxes to cover it.
I would love to see how much taxes is taken and then how much actuly reaches the people in the programs. Charity's have to report those figures like. For every dollar brought in 40 cents gets to the kids. Well i would love for government to tell us how much gets to the people that the taxes are taken for.
So my delema do i use government programs to take my money back and use it more effectivly or do i take a moral stance that no one will see and say no. do i use the cheat in Mario to skip to the castle or do i play all the levels and concor the game.

The right to property

I just want to start out with this. Becouse it is going to go alot further
I believe the right to property is by far one of are greatest rights we can have. At the same time it is one of are rights that is the most under attack. The right to property is what made america diffrent that is why pesents would give up everything to come here. Its what made it diffrent anyone who was willing to work could own property.
It is the one thing that we can pass on to generations that fallow us. That is why the current attacks on property rights is soooooo against the American dream.

The Nations Tavern Comes online

The Nations Tavern comes online
In 1775 The Marine Corp was created in Tun's Tavern. A couple of men determined to make the world better then when they entered it. Joined forces and created a place were anyone with the guts and the willingness could come and be what ever they wanted to be under a united partnership of freedom.
I think that that has been lost and needs to be recaptured today. Thus this blogg i want it to be a place were people who have the hart and the guts to make the world better then when they came into it can come togather to create a new nation. I don't want it to be a place were you just nock are leaders. If you dont have an idea on how to fix the problem then you are part of the problem.
so to one to all come, give me all your sick and heavy ladden, your illegal imigrants, minutemen, librals, theocons, conservitives, blue and white caller people we need you all to make a Great Nation the likes of wich has never been seen but has been dreamed of.
